MyDearSir—Prayreturnmybestthankstoyourfatherforhislittlevolume.ItislikeallofhisIhaveseen，spirited，goodhumoured，andredolentofthewitandhumourofacenturyago.HeshouldhavelivedwithGayandhisset.TheChessiadissocleverthatIrelishditinspiteofmytotalignoranceofthegame.Ihaveitnotbeforeme，butIrememberacapitalsimileoftheCharwomanlettinginherWatchmanhusband，whichisbetterthanButlersLobsterturnedtoRed.HazardisagrandCharacter，JoveinhisChair.Whenyouaredisposedtoleaveyouroneroomformysix，Colebrookeiswhereitwas，andmysisterbegsmetoaddthatassheisdisappointedofmeetingyoursisteryourway，weshallbemosthappytoseeherourway，whenyouhaveanevengtospare.Donotstandonceremoniesandintroductions，buteatonce.Ineednotsaythatifyoucaninduceyourfathertojointheparty，itwillbesomuchthepleasanter.Canyounameaneveningnextweek?Igiveyoulongcredit.
